Faery Ring

My Goddess, i'm done with this, if i want to work more on this some other day in the future fine, but for now it'll stay like it is.

This is my second Work on oil painting.

This work here taught me that i need bigger Canvas! and i mean huge ones because i cannot add all the details i want with this size because i lack the artistic capability to use a tiny brush.

The Story behind this piece: I love Bjork, i do, and i love her music and her voice, she is the closest i've heard to a mermaid's voice. I love how she can blend her strange music with her voice and chorus. There's this song called "Undo" from the album Vespertine, i'm not absolutely fond of the lyrics but at the end there is a beautiful chorus with violins that makes me shiver
and after several times listening to it on a bus trip (great practice not to become crazy going to the awful city), i imagined a video for the song, i always do. Music is one of the biggest inspirations in my life, without music i wouldn't paint, as simple as this. And i imagined this group of faeries dancing and giving themselves for pure love of nature, giving their most pure energy to make a tree stump grow back, they are the guardians of the forests, nature always tries to undo what we do, to cover any spot we uncover, over and over again, nature wont ever give up. But this is far from what i really saw in my mind but it was a good teaching process, i learned a lot making this one.
